STAR Infrastructure

The STAR Infrastructure team consists of PeopleSoft Administrators, Migrators, DBAs, Batch Analyst and Security Administrators who support and manage STAR PeopleSoft environments. Each environment, Finance/Procurement, Human Resources and Payroll, and Enterprise Learning Management, consists of a database and hosting Virtual Machines (VMs) that are necessary for PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) to function. 

Additionally, each environment requires a variety of software and hardware elements including:

• Relational Database Management System (RDMS)

• Application Servers

• Process Scheduler Servers

• Web Servers

• Web Browsers

The STAR Infrastructure architecture is built on Oracle’s engineered systems, ExaData and ExaLogic, running between two data-centers, delivering a Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT) and reducing business outages during maintenance events.
