The Department of Administration has several key functions: to help the governor develop and implement the state budget and to support other state agencies and their programs by offering services such as centralized purchasing and financial management.  The ultimate goal of all our programs is to offer Wisconsin residents the most efficient, highest-quality state government services possible.

Division Spotlight

The Division of Energy, Housing and Community Resources (DEHCR) administers the statewide Home Energy Plus programs and develops the statewide housing policy.  Home Energy Plus programs assist low income households by providing electric and heating bill payment assistance, as well as benefits and services to assist with energy crisis situations. Eligible households may also receive weatherization services.  DEHCR also develops statewide housing policy and offers a broad range of program assistance and funds to address homelessness and support affordable housing, public infrastructure, and economic development opportunities. The Division partners with local governments and service providers, non-profit agencies, housing authorities, and developers.
