Coastal Coordination

Coastal Coordination

The Wisconsin Coastal Management Program helps to coordinate the many state and local government programs impacting coasts through financial assistance, staff activities, and various other support tools. WCMP works closely with partners on many additional initiatives.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Funding Competition

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), also known as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, is providing funds to NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management over the next five years (2022-2027) to invest in coastal habitat protection and restoration projects to increase coastal communities’ resilience to climate change and coastal hazards. The Wisconsin Coastal Management Program is seeking out project proposals to competitively apply to the National Coastal Zone Management Program BIL funding competition in the future. Priority projects for this opportunity include habitat restoration; habitat restoration planning, engineering, and design; and land acquisition projects with a public entity partner.
