Bureau of Financial Management

Our accounting staff create adjusting journal entries, prepare financial statements both internally and for inclusion in the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, monitor financial grant activity in accordance with federal rules and regulations, oversee the Department's asset inventory, and respond to inquiries from the State Controller's Office, Legislative Offices and Bureaus, and Federal grantor agencies.

Our agency budget and policy staff prepare biennial budget requests, monitor appropriation and operating budgets, analyze and interpret fiscal information, legislation, and public policy, and respond to budget and policy inquiries from the State Budget Office, Legislative Offices and Bureaus, and other pertaining stakeholders.

Our general accounting staff process and approve vouchers, audit expense reports and purchasing card transactions, create billing invoices, handle deposits, and respond to inquiries from suppliers and our attached agencies.
