Parties may want to use documents or other evidence to support their position. All parties should also understand that, prior to the hearing, each party has a right to know the other party's evidence. The process to find out about the other party's case is called "discovery."
In worker's compensation case, the parties are encouraged to fully and freely exchange medical records and other documents. However there is no formal discovery in worker's compensation cases.
