The State Controller's Office (SCO) provides centralized accounting, treasury, cash management, payroll, and internal control services. Additionally the SCO maintains the books of account, and compiles necessary finanical information, including the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and the budgetary-based Annual Fiscal Report (AFR).
