About Financial Reporting
Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting responsibilities of the Department of Administration are outlined in Chapter 16, Subchapter III of the Wisconsin Statutes. The State Controller's Office prepares the Annual Fiscal Report (AFR) on a budgetary basis and the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for each state fiscal year. The Audit Section in the State Controller's Office coordinates the State Single Audit Guidelines. The Capital Finance Office coordinates the Environmental Improvement Fund - EIF Web Reports.
