About Us

We provide accounting and budgeting support for DOA and other agencies, boards and commissions.

Our accounting staff create adjusting journal entries, prepare financial statements both internally and for inclusion in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, monitor financial grant activity in accordance with federal rules and regulations, oversee the Department’s asset inventory, and respond to inquiries from the State Controller’s Office, the Legislative Audit Bureau and Federal grantor agencies.

Our agency budget and policy staff prepare biennial budget requests, monitor appropriation and operating budgets, analyze, and interpret fiscal information, legislation, and public policy, and respond to budget and policy inquiries from the State Budget Office, Legislative Offices and Bureaus, and other pertaining stakeholders.

Our general accounting staff process and approve vouchers, audit expense reports and purchasing card transactions, create billing invoices, handle deposits, and respond to inquiries from suppliers and our attached agencies.
