 LIIMS Business Survey Introduction

Welcome to the Land Information Integration Modernization (LIIMS) Business Survey

It is important to describe land information/GIS in terms of the business programs it supports. For many organizations, GIS supports many business programs. This survey enumerates the individual business programs in your agency which are supported by GIS and collects simple information regarding each.

Here, the term "business program" refers to a discrete business operation or process serving your agency's mission. It does not refer to general business areas, groups of programs, or organizational units (except where such a unit happens to correspond directly to a specific business program). Examples of business programs include Animal Health Emergency Management Operations, Coastal Management Program, Gypsy Moth Program, or Environmental Public Health Tracking.

The LIIMS Business Survey consists of several modules, each collecting information for up to 5 unique business programs. Beginning with Part One, complete as many as you need to record information for each GIS-supported business program in your organization. Regardless of whom they serve, internally or externally, all GIS-supported business programs are important.

LIIMS Business Survey Part One: Programs #1 - #5

LIIMS Business Survey Part Two: Programs #6 - #10

LIIMS Business Survey Part Three: Programs #11 - #15

LIIMS Business Survey Part Four: Programs #16 - #20

If more than 20 business programs are supported by GIS in your organization, please
contact us so that we may extend the survey to accomodate your information. Remember, every program is important and your efforts are valuable!

Thank you for your participation!
